Public seminar on Phuket’s green issues

PHUKET: Green issues in city planning for Phuket will be addressed by government and public authorities at Phuket’s first free seminar on the subject, to be held at the Phuket Merlin Hotel this Friday.

The seminar, titled PA+S FORUM – Issue Green Attention, will be attended by key speakers from the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planing, Phuket Architectural Society, the Governor’s Office and Kasetsart University.

They will discuss how to ensure continued, sustainable development of Phuket and share ‘green’ architecture ideas.

The forum is open to the public, all are welcome to attend from 8.30am to 4pm. Organizers say the seminar will be especially beneficial to students and those involved in Phuket’s real estate business.

Key speakers attending the seminar include: Phuket Public Works and Town & Country Planing director Anukul Sangthongchay; Phuket Governor Wichai Phraisa-ngop and Kasetsart University dean Professor Ratchot Chompunich.

Talks will be mainly conducted in Thai.
