Police find Kamnan killer’s shotgun
THALANG: Police have found the gun used in Sunday night’s hitman-style slaying of Moo Baan Saku’s village leader Somboon Panyawai, the area’s police chief said today. Pol Lt Col Jakrit Srisuwan, Chief of Tah Chat Chai Police Station, told the Gazette that the gun was found 300 meters from the scene of the shooting during an extensive search of the area by police officers on Tuesday. “We sent the shotgun to forensics to check, and to discover who is the owner,” he said. Col Jakrit said that police already had the results of the tests, but he was reluctant to give details for fear that it may aid the killer in eluding arrest. “I believe we will have good news soon, but please be patient for police to complete their investigation,” he said. Kamnan Somboon was blasted from behind while he was walking back to his car after a dinner out in Nai Thon with family and friends.
