Police arrest four on yaba charges

PATONG: In their ongoing drive to crack down on sales of amphetamines (yaba) police arrested a 19-year-old man at a house in Soi Nanai 2 after undercover officers bought drugs from him. After arresting him, police found 19 yaba pills in his shoes. At the police station, he confessed that he sold Yaba for a long time, though this was the first time he had been caught. He was charged with possession and intent to traffic in drugs. Acting on information he gave them, police then raided a house Rat-U-Thit Rd and arrested two young men and a young woman after finding them in possession of one pill apiece. They were charged with possession of a restricted drug.
