Police appeal for donations

PATONG: Pol Col Chalit Thintanee, superintendent of Kathu Police, today appealed for donations from the public to modernize Kamala Police Station. “The building is 50 years old and has never been renovated. There is only one computer, which is old and slow,” Col Chalit said. He explained that 400,000 baht is needed for the modernization, which includes the construction of a new office for front desk and reception duties, renovations and repairs to the existing building, and the purchase of a faster computer. He added that he was making the public appeal because there was no money in the budget for the modernization. Those wishing to make donations should call Col Chalit at 076-342719 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
