Phuket Software Factory wins APICTA 2010 award
PHUKET: A Phuket-based software development company was among six Thai firms winning an APICTA 2010 information and communication technology award last week.
The Phuket Software Factory won a merit award in the “e-Health” category of the Asia Pacific Information and Communication Technology Awards (APICTA) 2010, held in Malaysia.
The Phuket Software Factory was founded by Dr Kongkiat Kespechara to improve medical services by using information technology. It is an “incubatee” at Phuket Software Park in Wichit.
The award follows the company’s 2010 Ticta award for its iPP health information software.
The other APICTA 2010 winners from Thailand were:
Geomove’s Sensor Service GRID: tools and infrastructure category winner;
Neo Invention’s NEOtrace: e-logistics and supply chain management category winner;
Rayongwittayakom School’s Destine Strategy: secondary student project category merit award;
LarnGear Technology’s Augmented Reality Learning Media: e-learning category merit award;
ThaiQuest Limited’s ThaiQuest e-Edition: research and development category merit award.
