Patong Municipality moves house

PATONG: Patong Municipality moved into its luxurious new offices on Ratpatanusorn Rd this morning. Yongyuth Wichaidith, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Interior, chaired the opening ceremony, which included the traditional blessing of the buildings by Buddhist monks. The new location comprises three buildings on 6.5 rai of land, built at a total cost of 58.2 million baht. The main Municipality office is in a three-story building, while the fire brigade and the municipality’s pawnshop each occupy smaller buildings nearby. The pawnshop will not open until next month, but the firemen have already moved in. The municipality’s contact numbers continue unchanged: Tel: 076-344275, Fax: 076-342078.
