Immigration chief appeals for help
PHUKET TOWN: Pol Col Apirak Hongtong, Superintendent of the Phuket Immigration Office, today appealed for people to report to him any misconduct by Immigration officials. Speaking at the Gazette’s offices, Col Apirak said, “I don’t want to see the behavior of a few bad officers destroy the image of all the other officers. “Anyone wanting to report any misconduct by my officers – including requests for bribes, misleading advice, bad service or rudeness – in either the Phuket Town office or the Patong office, can forward to me all the relevant details via the Phuket Gazette.” Reports may be sent to immigration@phuketgazette.net, marked for Col Apirak’s attention. Correspondence for Col Apirak will be printed out and passed to him entirely without changes, unless the writer specifically requests anonymity.
