Gas stations to stay open 24 hours

PHUKET: Petrol stations will be allowed to trade around the clock over the Christmas and New Year holiday period, Thongrat Vannuch, the Chief of Phuket Provincial Energy Business Office, told the Gazette today.

K. Thongrat said the Energy Ministry announced on December 20 that petrol stations would be allowed to remain open 24 hours from tomorrow (December 25) through to January 5, when they must close at midnight.

Restricted trading hours will come back into effect on January 6, with gas stations closing at 10 pm.
