Father and son arrested for selling ya bah

PHUKET: A father and son were arrested in Phuket Town yesterday for selling ya bah. Pol Capt Anukul Nuekate of Phuket Town Police Station told the Gazette that his officers had received a report that people in a house on Phuket Road had been using ya bah and selling it for a long time. They raided the house. In it they found Prasert Sae-ong, 58, and his son Anusorn, 25. They also found 12 ya bah pills in the living room. Under questioning, Prasert said that the ya bah belonged to his son. He said that he had told his son many times over the past three years to stop taking the drug, but that Anusorn could not overcome the habit. The pair were charged with possession and trafficking in the illicit drug.
