Australian embassy to hold memorial service

PATONG: Australia will observe a National Day of Mourning and Reflection on Sunday morning to remember the victims of the tsunami.

In Thailand, the Australian Embassy will hold a short memorial service at the Seven Dolphins Memorial fountain on Patong Beach (where the statue of dolphins stood before the tsunami, just north of the intersection of Sawadtirak Rd and the beach road).

The service will begin at 7:15 am. All are welcome to attend. For more information call the Australian Embassy office, at Tel: 076-338255 from start of business hours tomorrow.

The embassy office will move at the end of today to the JW Marriott Phuket Resort and Spa, at Mai Khao. The existing contact number, 076-370672, will therefore no longer be in use.
