Construction workers’ row escalates into knife attack in Pattaya
A heated argument over professional prowess escalated into a violent confrontation between two construction workers in Pattaya on Saturday night. The altercation resulted in one man being grievously injured by a knife attack.
Pattaya police received a report of the incident at 8.36pm. Over ten officers swiftly converged on the scene, a residential property located within the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, within the province of Chon Buri. Prior to their arrival, the police had liaised with rescue workers to ensure appropriate medical assistance would be on hand.
Once on the scene, police found the injured party, 47 year old Mana Inthachim, bleeding heavily from two head wounds and a back injury. Recognising the severity of the situation, the officers quickly secured the area, focusing on apprehending the suspect.
The alleged assailant, Bunlue Sukjai, 48 year old, and a known acquaintance of the victim, surrendered himself to the authorities without resistance. Reports indicate that the two men had been consuming alcohol together before the incident.
Anan, a fellow construction worker and eyewitness to the event, revealed the three men were enjoying a social gathering when Mana and Bunlue began to quarrel over who was more skilled in house design. Despite Anan’s attempts to diffuse the situation, the argument escalated uncontrollably, culminating in Bunlue brandishing a knife and attacking Mana.
Following immediate medical attention at the scene, Mana was transferred to a local hospital for further treatment. Concurrently, Bunlue was taken into police custody, where he is expected to face charges in connection with his violent actions.

The scene was a horrifying spectacle of scattered personal belongings and a trail of blood that painted a chilling picture of the violent encounter.
The 35 year old victim, Sathit Ngernkhunduang, was discovered unconscious, bearing severe injuries to his head and neck — injuries consistent with a knife attack. Immediate medical assistance was provided on-site before he was whisked away to the hospital in a critical state.
