There’s a new towering titan in town, Thailand’s own King Kong, a colossal water buffalo, has stomped its way into the Guinness World Records, casting a bewitching shadow over Nakhon Ratchasima as the globe’s tallest buffalo.

In the tranquil fields of Nakhon Ratchasima, a giant walks, or rather, ambles. Enter King Kong, the towering water buffalo who’s just muscled his way into the Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest.

The behemoth stands at an astounding 185 centimetres (6 feet 0.8 inches) from hoof to shoulder, dwarfing his buffalo peers by a staggering 50 centimetres.

The gentle goliath is not just any ordinary farm resident. King Kong relishes simple pleasures that belied his enormous stature, from splashing in ponds and munching on bananas to heartily engaging with his human companions. Despite his hulking dimensions, this buffalo bombshell is a delight in the paddock—a true gentle giant.

Since birth, King Kong has been turning heads and making waves. Suwat Booncharoen, the proud proprietor of Ninlani Farm, noticed something extraordinary from the outset.

Born on the appropriately cinematic date of April 1, 2021, King Kong seemed destined for greatness, his name inspired by the legend of the giant movie monster.

As it turned out, King Kong had more in common with his namesake than just size. One farmhand revealed his incredible height was apparent almost immediately, towering above his contemporaries in the barn.

Despite the daunting dimensions, he’s a playful character, as sprightly as a puppy and always up for a friendly scratch, endearing himself to all who encounter his colossal charm.

Ninlani Farm, originally a hub for horse breeding, has shifted gears to focus on albino buffaloes, with King Kong prancing as the undeniable star of the show. His daily routine may sound simple, yet it suits him to a tee.

Rising with the sun at 6am, King Kong embarks on his day with a leisurely jaunt to the yard for a morning splash-about.

The giant then enjoys a refreshing bath, followed by a generous breakfast fit for a bovine king.

Throughout the day, King Kong peppers his schedule with personal pursuits, whether lounging under the sky or socialising with his two-legged fans.

As the sun sets on another day of delight, King Kong is treated to another bath before tucking into an ample dinner.

With his appetite as sizable as his stature, he polishes off 35 kilogrammes of food daily, with hay, corn, and bananas topping his favourite treats list.

Not just a headline-making giant, King Kong has become the pulse of Ninlani Farm, drawing admiration and affection from all corners.

His strong yet friendly nature is a testament to his enchanting charm, making him a poster chil, or rather, buffalo, for this booming farmstead.
