CCTV footage yesterday showed a Thai man stealing a bag from a drunk woman who parked her motorcycle to vomit on the roadside near Thewa Sangkaram Temple in the central province of Kanchanaburi.

The victim, a 21 year old woman named Jang, urged Channel 3 to show the CCTV footage to the public and urged netizens to notify the police if they find the thief in the footage. Jang revealed that she encountered trouble following the loss yesterday, November 29.

Speaking to the media, Jang explained that on November 28, she had been drinking alcohol with her friends until the early hours of the next day. At approximately 6am on November 29, her friends dropped her off near the temple where she had parked her motorcycle.

Feeling unwell and dizzy as she rode back to her condominium, she parked her motorbike and vomited on the roadside. Despite her condition, she proceeded to her condo. Later in the afternoon on the same day, upon waking up, she discovered that her bag had gone missing.

Jang said she thought she might have dropped her bag when she parked her motorbike at the roadside, so she returned to the scene. She asked a resident to check his security camera and discovered that her bag was stolen by a Thai man.

The CCTV footage showed Jang parking her motorbike and vomiting, with her bag hanging from the handlebar. As Jang bent her head down, the thief crossed the street, walked straight up to Jang and grabbed her bag. He crossed the street again and disappeared without Jang noticing him.

No funds

Jang disclosed that her bag held cash, an iPhone 13, her ID card, and a crucial document for motorcycle instalment payments. She explained that she was now without funds, and the phone was still under payment. Compelled to settle the debt, she found herself without a phone to use.

A similar theft happened to a drunk foreign man in Pattaya in March this year. The foreigner parked a motorbike on Jomtien Sai Song Road to vomit on the side of the road but left the key in the ignition and the engine running.

A few minutes after he turned his back on the vehicle, a Thai woman jumped on the bike and sped off, leaving the foreign victim at the scene in confusion. Police later arrested the thief and found the stolen motorcycle at her condominium.
