Couple caught engaging in public sex near Pattaya Police Station
A witness protested after a couple engaged in sexual activity on Pattaya Beach, near Mueang Pattaya Police Station, in front of a crowd of beachgoers in December last year.
The witness shared a video of the incident, showing the couple, whose nationality was not disclosed, having sex on the beach. The footage was provided to Channel 7 today, December 3. The witness reported that he encountered the incident towards the end of December while enjoying the beach with a group of friends.
Although the explicit video has not been made public, media reports indicate that the couple were seen kissing and engaging in sexual activity just a few steps away from Mueang Pattaya Police Station.
According to Channel 7, the location was not isolated, and the couple were surrounded by other beachgoers, with cheers and noises audible in the video.
The act was hard to miss and witnesses claimed to the media that some onlookers were cheering the couple on, while others attempted to shame them. However, the couple appeared unbothered. The public sex reportedly lasted for over 10 minutes.
There has been no report of police intervention or any legal charges filed against them. Under Section 388 of the Criminal Law, the couple could face a fine of up to 5,000 baht for committing obscene acts or exposing oneself in public.
A similar incident was reported earlier in December, involving a Chinese man and a Thai woman engaging in sexual activity in the sea off Jomtien Beach at approximately 11pm. Witnesses revealed that they shouted at the couple, urging them to stop, but were ignored.
Some witnesses reported that the couple had a heated argument before suddenly engaging in the explicit act. The activity continued until police arrived at the scene.
The Thai woman reportedly swam away and asked the police to retrieve her clothes, stating that she could not go to the police station while naked. It remains unclear whether the couple faced any fines for their actions.
