Inquiries with the temple’s abbot, Phra Ratchawachiraprachanart, who is also the head monk of Chachoengsao province’s Thammayut sect, revealed that the infant was left at the temple’s entrance gate. The newborn, identified as a boy, was reportedly found covered in mosquito bites.

He urged the baby’s parents to reclaim their child, reminding them that problems should not be taken out on their offspring.

Phra Ratchawachiraprachanart further mentioned that the temple would temporarily care for the baby while coordinating with relevant agencies to proceed with appropriate measures. Surveillance footage was later reviewed, showing a white pickup truck arriving at the scene, reported KhaoSod.

A woman wearing a yellow T-shirt and shorts was seen exiting the vehicle, placing the baby at the gate, before driving away.

Phra hopes common sense prevails and the woman comes back to reclaim her baby.
