Wild Boars to head home this Thursday

The Public Health Minister Dr Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn visited the young footballers at the Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital this morning (Saturday) after their rescue from the flooded Tham Luang cave in Chiang Rai province as the world watched.
The 12 Mu Pa Academy footballers and their coach are to be discharged from hospital next Thursday, Dr Piyasakol announced.

He said the young men were recovering well and will stay at the hospital to receive the full dose of antibiotics for seven days in accordance with the treatment plan.
Piyasakol says the team were all in good spirits and though they were in quarantine, their families could visit them with strict hygiene safeguards.
“The Wild Boars would all be discharged on Thursday if no infections were detected,” Piyasakol said.
He said there was concern that the youths could be vulnerable to infection from visitors when recovering at home, as they were still weak. Piyasakol says the Wild Boars may be invited to speak to the media but psychiatrists are monitoring their mental health first before reflecting on their 18-day ordeal in front of the media.
