Chao Fah West road closure for Chalong Underpass construction
Parts of Chao Fa West Road will close at night from June 29 to July 28 as the the Chalong Underpass construction staggers along.
A meeting was held yesterday (June 18) at the Phuket Highway Office hosted by Phuket Vice Governor Snith Sriwihok and Phuket Highway Office Chief Somwang Lohanut.
Vice Governor Snith says, “Traffic problems during the peak hours are a big problem around the Chalong Underpass construction zone. Heading out of the circle, heading north along Chao Fah West and going past the shopping centre area, it is very narrow with the construction equipment working very close to the traffic.
“This road will be closed during nighttime from 9.30pm to 6.30am from June 29 to July 28. Please try to avoid passing through this area during that time.”
“For small vehicles heading from Karon heading to Phuket Town, please use Soi Anusorn to the entrance of HomePro and turn left.”
