The Samui Slam Beach Volleyball Tournament & Training Camp will be held next month on the island of Koh Samui in the southern province of Surat Thani. It will run from September 18 to 24 at the stunning SEEN Beach Club on Chaweng Beach.

Promising to be a thrilling sporting event, the Samui Slam is originated by organiser Biggs Island Productions (BIP) and compliments the annual ‘Samui Open’ Beach Volleyball Tournament, a popular yearly tournament scheduled for the sixth year in March 2024.

The organizers say the popularity of these events recognize the growing global interest and draw of Beach Volleyball. A mix of athletes from overseas and Thai and foreign nationals will participate in the Samui Slam.

The tournament coincides with a four-day volleyball training camp that runs from September 18 to 21 while the three-day beach volleyball tournament itself will take place from September 22 to 24.

The training camp will be headed up by a professional world-ranking volleyball coach from Europe. Volleyball enthusiasts can register for the training camp or the tournament, or both.

The event is co-sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) which is offering a complimentary tour of Koh Samui island to all participants as part of their ‘Amazing Thailand’ promotions.

Koh Samui is popular for its white sandy beaches, perfect for beach volleyball, and its vibrant nightlife. Like past volleyball events have been famous for, Samui Slam includes a festive welcome party and nightly events at sponsor venues.

Organizer Biggs Island Productions recruited the beautiful venues of SEEN Beach Club and Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel to host the event, with the latter offering special event package options and rates. Event organizer Cord Biggs expressed his excitement.

“Samui Slam is proud to promote beach volleyball in South East Asia and on Koh Samui and to hold this exciting beach sporting event on our beautiful island.
