Second urgent call for blood

PHUKET TOWN: The Wachira Phuket Hospital this afternoon issued a second urgent appeal for blood, this time type A negative blood. Earlier today it appealed for B negative donors. The appeals were issued because the hospital’s blood bank has no stock of either blood type, and needs both, one type for a pregnant woman who underwent an operation after her unborn child died in the womb, and the other for a young man involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Donors are urged to call Wachira Hospital at 211114 and ask to speak to K. Wichote from the blood bank. Alternatively, they may go direct to the hospital before 9pm and ask at reception for K. Wichote.
