Phuket to host “sufficiency education’ expo
PHUKET CITY: Phuket Rajabhat University (PRU) will host a regional conference and exhibition demonstrating how to implement sufficiency economy practices with respect to education in the South from September 13 to 14.
The exhibition will include explanations and discussion on applying His Majesty the King’s sufficiency economy philosophy and policy in public and home schools. Four home schooling Phuket families will be showcased at the conference.
Present at the conference to speak on local educational management will be Phuket Provincial Administration Organization (OrBorJor) President Anchalee Vanich Tephabutra, Phuket City Mayor Somjai Suwannasuppana, Trang City Mayor Chari Sinanan and other senior officials from throughout the region.
Churang Wetprasit, Kamontas Chaimanee and Dr Supakrit Samranchaiyakorn will be at the conference representing Phuket parents who educate their children through home schooling, along with representatives of 300 of the 2,300 schools in the South invited to take part.
The exhibition will also report results of public education reform, especially regarding assurance of quality education management by provincial administration organizations.
