Phuket Police release graphic YouTube video of gold shop robbery
PHUKET: In an effort to identify an armed robber of a Phuket gold shop, police have released a graphic YouTube video of the man entering the C.P. Gold Master & Jewelry store and shooting dead one of the customers (story here).
In addition to releasing the video compiled from CCTV camera footage, police will be plastering Phuket with wanted posters, Phuket Provincial Police Commander Choti Chavalviwat told the Phuket Gazette today.
Police have already dismissed one of two prime suspects in the case.
“We are continuing to collect evidence and gather information from witnesses. We know the motorbike used by the robber was a Honda Dream, but we are still determining its color,” explained Maj Gen Choti.
Police continue to urge anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of the robber to contact the nearest police station, or call the Phuket Provincial Police at 076-212046.
The funeral for Apichet Chooklang (see here), the man killed during the robbery, will be held this afternoon at Wat Kuan Sawan in Thung Yai District in Nakhon Sri Thammarat.
