Israir announces direct flights from mid-December

PHUKET: Israeli airline Israir announced Wednesday that as of December it will begin operating two flights to Thailand, including direct flights between Israel and Phuket.

Israel-based news service ynetnews.com reported that the flights, aboard Airbus A-330 planes, will be available during the height of Phuket’s high season: from December 15 to February 28. The flights will leave Israel on Sundays and return on Tuesdays.

Israir will also operate flights to Bangkok over the same period, leaving on Wednesdays and returning on Thursdays.

Israir will allow passengers to fly to one destination and return from the other.

Shai Marina, the company’s commercial director, was quoted as saying that Israir has decided to meet the high demand for direct flights to Thailand at affordable prices, while maintaining a high level of service.

The possibility to combine the two destinations will save the Israeli passengers an internal flight and allow them more flexibility during their stay in Thailand, she said.
