A Thai man shared a heartwarming video on TikTok showing a Bangkok taxi driver who surprised him with a birthday present by playing “Happy Birthday” during his ride.
The Thai TikTok user shared the heartwarming video during a taxi ride on his account, @icetsuki, on May 19, with the caption, “Unexpected moment on taxi car.”
The man explained in the video that he and his friend were taking a taxi to a temple to make a merit on his birthday that day. They were discussing their plans after doing the birthday good deeds when the taxi driver overheard them and realised it was the man’s birthday.
The man noticed the driver acting a bit suspiciously after learning about his birthday, seemingly busy with his phone. To the man’s surprise, the driver suddenly played the “Happy Birthday” song as a gift.
The TikToker remarked that while the driver’s gesture might appear insignificant to some, it greatly enriched his day. He expressed delight at the surprise and extended wishes to his followers for similar moments of joy every day.

However, one woman accused the man of fabricating the story for attention, alleging that he could not have recorded the video so quickly in reality. Nonetheless, the man maintained the authenticity of his account.
