This Visa type permits you to pursue full-time education, internships or study. The Non immigrant Non ED Visa is valid to enter Thailand for 3 months from the date of issue. On entry to Thailand you will be granted permission to stay for 90 days. This 90 day permit of stay can be extended in the cases of:

1. General Education – 1 year for each application.
2. Non Formal Education – 90 days each application, the total length of stay must not exceed 1 year.

There are multiple options for study in Thailand, from taking a university course to training to become a Buddhist monk. However, the most popular purpose of obtaining a Non Immigrant ED to enter Thailand is to learn Thai at a language school.
