Thanyapura’s brunch simply DiVine (video)

PHUKET: If Phuket has a favorite meal, it’s got to be Sunday brunch. Just about any respectable hotel or resort has one on offer, and most are doing a great job with it – inviting guests for incredible food in spectacular locations.

Thanyapura, which has long-offered a delectable Sunday brunch variation, recently came up with a new Sunday brunch formula – one geared toward the whole family.

All the brainstorming that has gone into it – no doubt fuelled by many a cup of freshly brewed coffee and some training sessions at the gym – has resulted in the Fun Family Brunch, a new weekly food event that takes place every Sunday between 11:30am and 2:30pm, at Thanyapura’s famed DiVine restaurant.

The name really says it all – it claims to be fun, and fun it is! A special area has been set up for kids with a special buffet and free cooking classes, as well as a number of activities, both indoors and outdoors. If you have smaller tykes, you’ll appreciate a chance to enjoy your meal without
having to chase your little ones around the table.

Even if you don’t have kids, the Fun Family Brunch is still a smart choice for just about any kind of family.

DiVine represents a rare breed of restaurants that can conjure up sophistication in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Located next to Thanyapura’s spectacular swimming pools with a backdrop of Phuket’s hills, the restaurant offers a truly family-friendly ambiance that stimulates conversation at the table and puts everybody in a lively mood.

All these elements are an integral part of the experience – as is the food. Whatever you reach for, you won’t be disappointed.

You might want to skip dinner to save room for the Fun Family Brunch, as the delicacies served at the carving stations – the seafood and the BBQ – are irresistible.

Step away from the carvings and into a nearby wine locker, and you’ll find an array of cheeses and mouthwatering desserts.

However, Thanyapura wouldn’t be Thanyapura if they just dropped an unlimited supply of spectacular food on you and left it at that. With the brunch comes a special day pass. Valid for one week after the meal, it gives you access to Thanyapura’s sport facilities, including the swimming pools, the gyms and one hour on the tennis courts. You’ll need it.

Get your family together and head to Thanyapura to eat, play, talk and make Sunday your own.

Food is 1,290++ baht per person. Wine Buffet at 890++ baht per person. A dedicated buffet for children from 4-11 years old is 645++ baht per child. For more information visit www.thanyapura.com
