Mr Young, initially remanded to Phuket Provincial Prison in Phuket City, was returned to Kathu Police Station in Patong at about 10:30 last night.
Police have yet to reveal whether the second suspect, understood to be another foreigner wanted on child molestation charges, is directly connected to Mr Young’s case.
Both investigations have been carried out by the DSI.
The DSI’s Pol Maj Jatuporn Arunleaktawin has revealed that Mr Young has lived in Phuket for five years and extended his stay by making “visa runs” every three months.
Last night, Kathu Police Superintendent Grissak Songmoonnark showed the media a dossier of evidence containing graphic images of a Caucasian man alleged to be Mr Young performing anal sex on a boy whose age was estimated at no older than twelve.
Other incriminating images included pictures of the suspect having oral sex performed on him by young boys.
More information is expected to be revealed at a press conference to be held either this afternoon or this evening.
