Phuket friends to hold Chris Hart Memorial Football Tournament

PHUKET: Friends, coworkers and footballing colleagues of Chris Hart, who died tragically in a motorbike accident on Thepkrasattri Road in Thalang on Tuesday night, are invited to attend a seven-a-side football tournament in his honor.

Eric Haeg, who organized the event, to be held at Headstart School, wrote on his Facebook page:

“Please feel free to attend even if you’re not playing. Families are welcome. I know Chris was into the cricket and rugby scene, so friends from those circles are also welcome.”

The tournament is scheduled to start at 2pm and run through to about 5pm. During the tournament, Headstart’s small cafe will be open to serve beverages and snacks.

“A big thanks to Karl Ward and Headstart School for donating the pitch for this great event. We hope to do right by Big Chris and his loved ones. May he rest in peace,” wrote Mr Haeg.

Update: Details of the tournament to kick off at 2pm today, Saturday November 10, can be found here.
