Phuket Town water cuts start today

PHUKET: Phuket City Waterworks (PCW) begins a series of scheduled daytime pressure cuts today in order to conduct system maintenance and install new water mains.

The pressure cuts will run from 9am to 6pm daily in affected areas. The PCW advises customers to store sufficient amounts of water, so as not to be affected during the cuts, which will run through July 25.

PCW officer Yupin Gaewchid said most households would only be affected for one day.

“I suggest that people who are in affected areas should store enough water to use during the period. If you need to use the water for any emergency purposes, please contact us in advance (Tel: 076-211130) so that we can provide assistance,” she said.

The pressure cut schedule is as follows:

Damrong Road, Thepkrasattri Road (in Phuket Town), Tungka Road, Mae Luan Road, Patipat Road, Ong Sim Pai Road, Nakhon Road, Chumphon Road, Komarapat Road, Phuket Road, Montri Road, Luang Poh Road, Trang Road, Supalai City Hill estate in Rassada.
