Merry Christmas Phuket!
PHUKET: It’s that time of the year again – when the hoteliers disappear from any social function that isn’t work related, the retirees hide in their homes for fear of high-season traffic and the rest of us locals buckle down for the long haul. Oh, yes, the holiday high-season is here.
There will be no reindeer (though plenty of red noses), no sleighs or snow. But fear not kids, as there will be many a Santa Claus in all their duplicity dotted around the island today to help set the mood, as well as traditional holiday feasts to be devoured. If you’re not sure where to go for your Christmas dinner, check out our Season Special online here.
So come on you local Grinches, come down from your hillside villas, face the traffic and join your fellow man.
Why not join voices with carolers and demand your figgy pudding? Why not raise your glass in thanks? Why not… well, you get the point.
Northern hemisphere natives, shrug off that lingering feeling of a never ending summer and learn how the other half of the world celebrates the holidays: buy an umbrella, put on some sunscreen and watch the families enjoy Phuket’s seas at their safest and the beaches at their cleanest in years
