Bangkok Airways to launch Phuket – Trat flights

PHUKET: Bangkok Airways has announced the launch of its new Phuket – Samui – Trat flight service, which is set to begin on December 2.
This extension of the carrier’s existing Phuket – Samui service will make it easier for holidaymakers to travel from Phuket to the resort island of Koh Chang or pass overland into Cambodia.
Round-trip flights aboard a 70-seat twin-turboprop ATR 72 plane will operate four times weekly: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
ML Nandhika Varavarn, the carrier’s vice president for corporate communications, said, “We believe connecting Thailand’s popular seaside destinations through Samui will benefit tourists and stimulate tourism flow across the country.”
“The service cuts traveling time for visitors who want to visit various beach destinations without passing through Bangkok,” he added.
Outbound flights will depart Phuket at 12:55pm and arrive in Trat at 3:40pm.
Inbound flights will depart Trat at 4:15pm and arrive in Phuket at 7:10pm.
