Fake Dulwich papers “full of mistakes’
PHUKET TOWN: Fake Dulwich International College certificates were part of a recently uncovered Internet scam, but were of poor quality, the Phuket Provincial Education Office said today. Among the mistakes on the imitations were subjects listed that are not taught at the college and a logo that failed to match the real one. The signature on the fakes was that of a person who was not a member of the college staff. In addition, some of the fake certificates had been sold to people aged 18 or older, the Education Office said, whereas Dulwich students are all under that age. An 18-year-old Bangkok student named as “Daeng” confessed to police last month that she had offered fake diplomas and certificates for sale on the Internet for as much as 20,000 baht apiece. She faces three years in prison and a fine of 6,000 baht.
