สื่อโซเชี่ยลอย่างเป็นทางการของบรรดาสโมสรฟุตบอลในอังกฤษ ต่างพากันเปลี่ยนรูปโปรไฟล์เป็นสีดำ พร้อมโพสข้อความอาลัยอย่างสุดซึ้งต่อการจากไปอย่างไม่มีวันกลับของควีน อลิซาเบธ ซึ่งการแข่งขัน พรีเมียร์ลีก ในช่วงสุดสัปดาห์นี้จะทำการแข่งต่อหรือไม่ ต้องรอการปนะชุมของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องซึ่งน่าจะทราบผลในช่วงบ่ายวันนี้ (9 ก.ย.) ตามเวลาในไทย
