Power cuts in Koh Kaew, Phuket Town

PHUKET: Scheduled electricity shut-offs will affect residents in areas of Phuket Town today and in the Koh Kaew sub-district tomorrow.
The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) announced that there will be no electricity along parts of Rassada Road, Yaowarat Road, Phang Nga Road, Thalang Road, Deebuk Road, Takuapa Road, and Soi Sun U-thit from 9am-4.30pm today.
Electricity in the Koh Kaew area will be shut-off from 9am-5pm tomorrow. All areas from Chao Fah Gardens (near the 7-Eleven), up to the Isuzu showroom in Koh Kaew, as well as roads in the surrounding vicinity, will be without power.
The cut-off is part of on-going rewiring projects to bury power lines in Phuket Town and to to facilitate work on the new Ban Khu underpass at the junction of Thepkrasattri Rd and the bypass road in Koh Kaew.
According to the PEA, the power outage will only affect the northbound-left (west) side of Thepkrasattri Road.
Stranded again with no electricity, the Phuket Gazette offices will be closed all day tomorrow..
For more information about specific areas and businesses affected by the power cuts, contact the PEA on 076-210427 (Thai language only).
