House on fire in Phuket Town
Late afternoon yesterday (January 25), Muang Phuket police received a call about a fire at a house in Soi Prayoon, Yaowarat Road.
Three fire trucks were called to the scene, a two-story building located 100 metres away from the main road. Firefighters managed to douse the fire in about half an hour.

According to the house owner, there was only one person, the mother, in the house during the time the fire started as the others were still out to work. At 4 pm, the mother called the owner to say the house was on fire as she found thick smoke coming out from the second floor.
The cause of fire and total loss is being investigated by forensic police.
