Man denies third Trump assassination attempt allegations

Miller claims innocence and disputes fake document allegations

The man accused of a potential third assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has denied the allegations in his first extensive interview since his arrest. Vem Miller, 49, spoke with Fox News Digital, asserting the accusations against him are false.

Miller claimed he informed authorities about his firearms, which he always carries but never uses, at a checkpoint for Trump’s Coachella rally on Saturday evening. He also denied that documents presented by Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco as fake were legitimate.

Following his arrest on gun charges, speculation arose due to two previous assassination attempts on Trump since July. However, Miller was quickly released on $5,000 bail, and no federal charges have been filed.

“I always travel with my firearms in the back of my truck,” Miller said during a phone interview. He mentioned keeping the guns with him after receiving death threats, though he has never fired them. “I’ve never even shot a gun in my life,” he stated, describing himself as beyond a novice with firearms.

Miller has been in the media for 30 years, starting work after high school. He has also worked on music videos and TV shows with major artists, launching America Happens Network to combat media censorship. He began receiving death threats while performing this work, leading him to purchase firearms.

Originally a Democrat, Miller believed Barack Obama would “save us from needless wars and censorship.” He now identifies as more Republican, describing himself and his business partner as libertarian. “Yes, I’m 100% a Trump supporter,” Miller affirmed, adding that he became fully supportive of Trump by 2018.

Miller confessed admiration for Trump, saying his political beliefs changed due to Hollywood’s homogeneity. He briefly supported Sanders without understanding the implications of socialism but has since adopted “Constitutional beliefs,” viewing Trump as a “visual example of freedom of speech.” Miller praised Trump for his bravery and for challenging the media.

Regarding the fake IDs and passports found in his car, Miller insisted none were fake. He explained that as an Armenian, he has documents using his full Armenian name and others that don’t, to avoid danger in certain regions.

Miller rejected claims by Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco that he was part of the “sovereign citizens” movement, calling it a nonsensical statement. He also dismissed being labeled “far-right,” stating, “Government is an inanimate object; it’s the individuals within government that matter. I’m not part of any right-wing anti-government groups.”

A source close to the Trump campaign told Fox News’ Bill Melugin and Bryan Preston that they did not believe the incident was an assassination attempt on Trump. A Trump campaign spokesperson issued a statement thanking law enforcement for securing the rally site and ensuring Trump’s safety. They noted they were monitoring the situation and gathering more information.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office earlier stated that the incident did not affect the safety of Trump or the event attendees.
