Donald Trump, the former President, raised over $160 million last month, primarily through small-dollar donations, according to his campaign on Wednesday. This brings his total cash on hand to $283 million, just over a month before Election Day.
Senior Advisor Brian Hughes highlighted the grassroots support, saying, “President Trump continues to inspire millions of everyday Americans to join his America First movement and help fuel the campaign with their hard-earned money.” In September, nearly 2.5 million donations, each under $200, comprised 96% of total contributions, with an average donation of $60. The campaign’s September fundraising “exceeded internal benchmarks,” Hughes added, emphasising the growing momentum from supporters and donors nationwide.
The September fundraising marked an increase from the $130 million raised in August by Trump’s campaign and its authorised committees. The Republican nominee’s war chest, slightly under $295 million reported at the end of August, has decreased as campaigning intensifies in the final weeks of the 2024 race.

Vice President Kamala Harris and her allied groups have outspent Trump in seven crucial swing states since President Biden ended his re-election bid, according to ad-tracking firm Ad Impact. Harris and her supporters have also reserved more future airtime in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada compared to Trump and his backers. Harris has $301 million worth of future campaign ads reserved in these states, while Trump has secured $194 million in airtime.
Last month, the Harris campaign reported raising $361 million, nearly tripling Trumpās August total. Harris’s campaign has not yet disclosed its September fundraising figures.
