Couple re-arrested after infant's death in Stoke-on-Trent home
Authorities have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of murder, three weeks following the discovery of a deceased infant in a residence. Police found the baby boy dead in a house on Sherwin Road, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, on the morning of 27 August.
The 26-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were initially taken into custody on 30 August, suspected of causing or allowing the death of a child. They were subsequently released on conditional bail.
Today, both individuals have been re-arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently being interrogated by detectives. Staffordshire Police have confirmed that specialist officers are providing support to the baby’s family.
