Wells Fargo employee found dead at desk after four days

Employee's body discovered in office cubicle after four days

A Wells Fargo employee in Arizona began her final work shift on a Friday morning. Her body was discovered four days later at her desk, having died over the weekend, according to Tempe Police.

Denise Prudhomme, 60, worked at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe. She entered the building at 7 a.m. on August 16. There were no further entries or exits recorded for her, as reported by the police.

Security discovered her lifeless body in a cubicle on the building’s third floor on August 20. Police confirmed her death at 4:55 p.m. Wells Fargo spokesperson Ruben Pulido expressed sorrow over Prudhomme’s death, stating the company is supporting her family and loved ones during this difficult period.

Following the incident, Wells Fargo is reassessing its employee safety and wellness protocols. Counsellors were made available to staff affected by the event.

Employees anonymously shared their concerns, noting that although most staff work remotely, Prudhomme should have been found sooner due to the building’s 24/7 security. Some had noticed a foul odour but attributed it to plumbing issues.

Prudhomme was found in a less populated section of the office. Wells Fargo clarified that notification to her family preceded any employee announcements regarding her death.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office had not yet determined the cause of death as of Friday. The preliminary investigation showed no signs of foul play, as confirmed by a Tempe Police spokesperson.
