Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand are set to embark on a royal visit to the United Kingdom between May 4 and May 7, following an invitation extended by His Majesty King Charles III. The purpose of this visit is to attend the coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, which will take place at Westminster Abbey in London, as announced by the Bureau of the Royal Household.

During their time in the UK, the Thai royals will be present at a reception hosted by King Charles at Buckingham Palace for invited heads of state and representatives from overseas on Friday. The coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey is scheduled for Saturday.

Simultaneously, Thailand will observe its annual Coronation Day. Prior to this, the Cabinet Secretariat had declared that the Samosorn Sannibat Ceremony, also known as the grand state reception, will proceed as planned on Thursday, May 4, to commemorate the occasion.

On this significant day for both nations, the bond between the British and Thai royals will be further strengthened through their shared experience of these two prominent events, the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in the United Kingdom, and the Samosorn Sannibat Ceremony in Thailand. This development emphasises the growing cooperation and exchange of cultural and historical connections between the two monarchies.
