New Don Mueang Airport shuttle links to Thailand hotspots

A brand-new feeder shuttle bus service, linking Don Mueang International Airport to the dazzling shores of Pattaya, is going to make it a whole lot easier for tourists to experience some of Thailand’ most iconic destinations.

Launched on Saturday, March 8, under the watchful eye of Deputy Transport Minister Surapong Piyachote, the service is set to transform transport connectivity, seamlessly bridging bustling airports and must-see tourist spots.

It’s a significant stride in the Thai government’s ambitious plan to bolster tourism and supercharge the economy by connecting the nation’s leading travel hubs with lesser-known gems.

The service kicks off with three dynamic routes, offering stress-free travel for all.

The first route zips passengers from Don Mueang Airport straight to sun-soaked Pattaya, spanning a distance of 162 kilometres.

For 155 baht, passengers can kick back for a comfortable two and a half-hour journey. With eight trips running daily, eager adventurers have a wealth of options, with four departures catering each way.

Buses leave Don Mueang at 6.30am, 10.30am, 1.30pm, and 5.30pm, while Pattaya sends them off at 7am, 10am, 2.30pm, and 5pm.

Pickup and drop-off conveniences await at the Service Hall near Terminal 1, north side of Don Mueang Airport, and at the BorKorSor Bus Stop on Sukhumvit Road, perfectly nestled between north and Central Pattaya.

The second route forges a path between Don Mueang Airport and the serene sands of Hua Hin, stretching a hearty 216 kilometres. For a mere 200 baht, travellers can enjoy a scenic three and a half-hour ride with the wind in their hair.

Offering four trips daily, outgoing buses bid farewell to Don Mueang at 10am and 3pm, while Hua Hin’s horizon welcomes the day at 9am and 2pm. Board or step off at the ever-handy Service Hall at Don Mueang Airport, alongside prime stops at the Hua Hin Temple, the chic Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall, and the Hua Hin Bus Terminal.

Completing the trio of travel options, the third route draws a lively line from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Pattaya’s heart, covering a neat 127 kilometres. Priced at just 122 baht, this journey whisks passengers away on a two-hour adventure.

With eight trips each day, options are aplenty: Suvarnabhumi sends its buses off at 7.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, and 5.30pm, while Pattaya sets its wheels in motion at 6.30am, 10.30am, 2.30pm, and 4.30pm.
