Don’t miss An Evening with Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne this week

Only a few tables left for An Evening with Paul “Gazza” Gascoigne at the Pattaya, and Bangkok events. Don’t miss out on what promises to be a fun-packed evening that includes a meet-and-greet photo opportunity, free-flow house pours, a three-course dinner, and a Q&A.

It’s fitting that the Newcastle United, Tottenham, Lazio, Glasgow Rangers, and England legend is in Thailand this week, what with the opening of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The tournament has already sprung a few surprises. So-called football peasants Saudi Arabia deservedly beat the aristocrats of Argentina 2-1, while last night Japan reversed the form table to beat four-time World Cup winner Germany, also by a 2-1 scoreline.

Gazza’s England, one of the competition favourites, kicked off their campaign against Iran with a 6-2 triumph. The Three Lions face the USA tomorrow night, or 2am Thai time.

An evening with Gazza provides the perfect tonic to set up a bit of World Cup nostalgia.

Gazza set the blue touch flame at Italia 90 with a bunch of scintillating displays, helping England through the group stage to the World Cup semi-final in Turin. Germany may have knocked England out of the tournament on penalties in an evening of compelling drama but the boy from Dunston captured the hearts of the world for his tears after a booking meant he would miss out on the final if they got there.

Six years later the footballing maverick was involved in yet another exciting international tournament, helping England once again to a semi-final at Wembley in Euro 96. And, once again, Germany knocked England out on penalties and went on to win the competition as they did in Italia 90.

The former football legend has hundreds of quirky stories about life as a professional footballer both on and off the pitch – one involving borrowing an ostrich and dressing it in a Spurs kit for training.

Want to hear more funny stories and tales from the former England legend? Well, you can, tickets are still available for the gig in Pattaya tomorrow and Bangkok on Sunday.

Gazza takes to the stage in Pattaya, Pullman Hotel G, on Friday, November 25, and Bangkok, Rembrandt Hotel & Suites, on Sunday, November 23.

Tickets cost 6,500 baht, which includes a meet and greet, personal photo, free flow for 90 minutes, a three-course dinner, Q&A, and a live auction, with kick-off at 6pm.
