Ipoh City Council receives RM3.46m for facility upgrades and maintenance

The Local Government Development Ministry has granted an allocation of RM3.46 million to the Ipoh City Council (MBI) for the purpose of upgrading and maintaining facilities within its jurisdiction. The minister, Nga Kor Ming, announced that the funds will be used for projects such as improving the Kg Simee Market, Dataran Niaga Taman Cempaka, Lorong Isaac, and Jalan Sungai Pari in Buntong, along with Jalan Persiaran Lapangan Siber 1 in Bandar Seri Botani.

“The allocation will be immediately channelled to MBI,” Nga Kor Ming stated during his official visit to Ipoh. Ipoh mayor, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin, was also in attendance at the event.

Nga explained that the allocation was a performance-based budget approved to ensure the comfort and well-being of the citizens. He also mentioned that all the upgrading works are set to commence next month and are expected to be completed by December this year.
