You must be +50 years of age to apply. The Non Immigrant O Visa is valid to enter Thailand for 3 months from the date of issue. The Non Immigrant O-A Visa is valid to enter Thailand for 12 months. On entry to Thailand, you will be granted permission of stay for either 90 days (Non O) or 12 months (Non O-A).

This 90/365 day permit of stay can be extended for 1 year at a time based on retirement, subject to meeting Immigrations financial requirements.

Other Important Information.

Before you apply for your retirement extension, make sure you know the following information.

Extension renewals

You can extend your stay to remain in Thailand annually. You are required to meet the financial requirements imposed by Immigration each year in order to renew your extension of stay.

90-Day Reporting

Foreigners permitted to stay in Thailand on a 1 year extension of stay, must submit a report every 90 days to their local Immigration office confirming their place of residence. You can submit these reports online, by mail, or in person. If you leave the Country and re-enter during the validity of your extension, your next 90 day report automatically becomes due 90 days from the date of re-
entry.

Re-Entry Permit

An extension of your permission of stay in Thailand is a permit, not a Visa and does not permit exit and re-entry unless you obtain a re-entry permit. Both single and multiple re-entry permits are available. A re-entry permit protects any permission of stay granted and on re-entry you be stamped in again until the expiry date of your current valid extension. If you leave Thailand on a 1 year extension without a re-entry permit, this effectively ends your permission of stay. You can request a re-entry permit at your local Immigration office or at an international airport in Thailand.
