Forest fire on Karon hills

KARON: Yesterday at dusk, Karon Municipality firefighters were called in to fight a forest fire in the Nakkerd Hills, upslope from the desalination plant on Siriraj Rd.

Firefighters tried to gain access to the blaze for two hours before giving up.

Fortunately, the fire burned itself out during the night.

No injuries or property damage were reported.
