A 17 year old son of the couple revealed that there were six family members inside the house when the incident happened. He says his aunt and uncle were sleeping upstairs whilst the rest of the family were sleeping downstairs in the room the car slammed into.

The 33 year old driver suffered broken legs and arms and was trapped inside the sedan when emergency responders arrived. Bottles of alcohol and empty beer cans were strewn around inside his car.
