Woman rescued after lying naked in roadside forest
A 36 year old woman sought police help after she discovered herself lying naked in a roadside forest along Sri Waree Noi Road in Samut Prakarn province near Bangkok. The police suspect she was violated by a couple of friends who she spent time with the previous night.
At about 9am today, a member of the Bang Plee Rescue Team accompanied the woman to file a complaint at Bang Sao Thong Police Station. The woman told police that she and a male friend, along with his girlfriend, had been drinking and eating at a restaurant last night. After their meal, the male friend invited the victim to continue drinking in his room, where his girlfriend was also present.
The woman explained that she was close friends with the couple and trusted them. Consequently, she consumed alcohol until becoming intoxicated and eventually fell asleep, only to awaken disrobed and shivering in the roadside forest.
Upon regaining consciousness, she discovered her clothing nearby and hastily dressed herself. She searched for her wallet and mobile phone but they were nowhere to be found.
Then, she crawled out of the forest in an attempt to seek aid from passing motorists. Regrettably, nobody stopped to assist her until a motorcycle taxi rider helped her contact a rescuer.
The motorcycle taxi rider informed KhaoSod that the woman requested a ride, but he declined it as it fell outside of his service area. He then reached out to another taxi rider who operated in the area to pick her up instead. However, the woman was unable to provide any information or indicate her intended destination. The rider said she looked drunk and confused, so he contacted the rescue team.
The rescuer, Thadanai Deesee, reported that the woman was crying and pleading for help when he arrived at the scene. After learning about her situation, Thadanai immediately took her to the police station.
The investigating officers revealed they will question the people involved and examine the evidence provided in the woman’s statement. They would also review CCTV footage from the friend’s residence to determine whether she left the room by herself or was escorted outside before being stripped and left in the forest.
