Burmese katoey stabbed to death

PHUKET TOWN: A Burmese katoey [transsexual] has been found murdered behind the Provincial Administration Organization (OrBorJor) office on Srisena Rd. Acting on information received, Pol Capt Watcharin Jiratikarnwiwat and other officers from Phuket Town police station found the man’s body on Wednesday in a machinery shed, face down in a pool of blood. The man, later identified as “Bee,” had short straight hair and was wearing a red T-shirt, cream pants and sandals. He had been hit twice on the head and stabbed five times. The weapon appeared to have been a sharpened steel bar, police said. K. Bee was last seen alive at midnight on Tuesday at a karaoke bar. At the time he was wearing a gold necklace, but after the murder police found only 10 baht in a pocket and a small empty jewelry case nearby. The body was taken to Wachira Hospital. Police say they are pursuing clues to the killer.
