Russian airstrike hits Kryvyi Rih civilians, causing destruction and injuries

A Russian airstrike has struck civilian targets in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, resulting in significant destruction and potentially trapping individuals beneath the debris, according to a local authority. Mayor Oleksandr Vilkul reported on Telegram that several people sustained severe injuries in the attack, adding that there could be individuals trapped under the rubble.

Social media videos, purportedly depicting the aftermath of the Kryvyi Rih assault, displayed damaged residential flats and fires erupting in other areas. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, faced an aerial onslaught early on Tuesday morning. However, military officials claimed that air defence systems managed to intercept and destroy all missiles targeting the city. Serhiy Popko, the head of Kyiv’s city military administration, stated on Telegram that no information on casualties or damage had been received yet.

In addition to Kryvyi Rih and Kyiv, the eastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv also experienced attacks. Further details on these incidents are expected to emerge soon.
