Dashcam footage the terrifying moment a heavy steel beam fell 20 metres through the air onto a busy expressway in Bangkok. The beam landed just metres in front of an oncoming pickup truck which was flung into the air as the wheels collided with the beam. Thailand has laws in place to prevent such incidents occurring, such as the Factory Act 1992, the Building Control Act 1979 and the Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Act 2011. 

All pieces of legislation that in reality mean nothing

I've always been a bit wary of driving underneath bridges under construction in Thailand. Haven't used Rama 2 road since 2018; will probably stay away until this expressway has been completed. I normally travel south via Nakorn Pathom and Ratchaburi instead.

Today they are a motorbike taxy tomorrow work construction with no training ad the thai short cut and dont care mentality  its almost a wonder it not happen more often

It is not about the presence of laws. All boils down to compliance and enforcement with transparency and ownership
