  3. If not managed very carefully these Games could be a clusterfcuk. Covid vaccinated and tested spectators seated in segregated zones may work although it will be the TV or live Youtube audience which will make it a success for viewers. As for competitors, one would hope they're all vaccinated and being young fit and healthy should see them through.

  5. Bangkok city officials are loosening restrictions in the capital and are allowing 5 types of venues to reopen tomorrow while other venues under the closure order must remain closed at least until June 14. Bangkok remains the epicentre of infections with 1,356 cases reported today and 41,573 infections over the past couple months in the latest wave of Covid-19 infections. Most of the recent infections have been concentrated in crowded areas such as construction camps, prisons, markets, and settlements. Business, venues and places allowed to reopen include… Museums, learning centres, science parks, historic sites and art galleries can reopen, but […] The post Bangkok loosens restrictions, allows 5 types of places to reopen tomorrow appeared first on Thaiger News. 7. All very straightforward then and likely to be as trouble-free as a ferret up a trouser leg.

  8. Correct, THAI Maintenance is it's greatest asset and may yet be sold off ... early days in rehab! Where the airline has failed and may continue to do given poor morale, is in customer service - from it's poor web portal and booking system thru cabin service and pretty awful meals (ex BKK) to the aircraft configuration and comfort. AirAsiaX and Singapore Airlines (SIA) could easily compete on price, the former in a higher seating class, more comfortable (eg no ICE box to hinder leg room on 777's), and both excelled in their overall service and food quality. NB: THAI food quality loaded abroad tends to be excellent, different caterers of course.

  9. Sorry King Cotton and forgot about that. As Mark Twain said Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you do not mind, it doesn't matter.

  12. Change of Mind and the new destinations are: After much heated debate with my husband, we have decided on the following plan to travel to Peru and we would do the Salkantay hike for a week to take us to Machu Picchu. We then have 5 nights of relaxation before travelling down to Patagonia for more hiking in Torres Del Paine. We would obviously take in all the historical sites and culture.

  14. Giant centipedes to my horror can be found all over Thailand, and can grow to the size of a man's forearm. If you encounter one, either indoors or outdoors stay away from it as it will most likely bite you. Giant centipedes have specially adapted front legs that act like pincers to inject venom. A centipede’s venom is not fatal, but will result in serious pain and it can take 3 days to get over the bite as you will need to have anti-tetanus, painkillers and plenty of rest. I have never seen one and I certainly want to avoid them, I have seen some snakes from a distance and not a fan of snakes.
